OPEN TODAY 08:00 - 20:00

The big €20,000 ‘back to school’ fundraiser

  • Support in the shopping centre?

From 17/09 to 01/10 , Shopping Stadsfeestzaal will install two beautiful fountains, one in the main hall and one at the Hopland entrance. Anyone can make a donation by throwing coins into one of the two fountains. In this way, we stand up for human rights and help build the dreams of sick students. The amount will be added up on 01/10 and divided 50/50 between Amnesty International Flanders and Bednet.

  • Support online?

Unable to make it in person? Then make an online donation!

The physical event reinforces the online campaign that runs from 17/09 to 31/10. Shopping Stadsfeestzaal will strengthen this online campaign by donating the amount collected from the physical campaign, 50/50 towards the general goal, no less than €20,000!

  • What is Bednet all about?

Bednet ensures that sick children can attend the classes together with their fellow students live from their home. This way, they keep up with their learning, while also keeping in touch with their friends. Last school year Bednet helped more than 1,100 students. Today more than ever they need your help to realise their dreams. Because every child has a right to education, even if they are ill.

  • What does Amnesty International do?

Amnesty International is a worldwide movement of more than 10 million people. They strive for a world where all human rights are respected. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is their guiding principle. They are independent of governments, political ideologies, economic interest or religion. Their work is mainly financed by donations from ordinary citizens.
